Salem Couples Portraits - Bush Park - Andrea & Daniel
Andrea and Daniel have been together for a while now, and wanted to capture their love for one another in photos. They wanted to photograph their couple's session in Salem, where Andrea grew up, so I did my research and picked out a few different parks to check out. I had never been to Bush park before, but it looked pretty from the photos I saw online. From what I could tell, somewhere inside the park was a nice grassy field to shoot in, but I had no idea the gift it was about to give me.
I climbed to the top of the hill and gazed out upon what I expected to be a grassy field. To my delight, all I could see were whimsical tall trees and adorable purple little flowers for as far as the eye could see. I couldn't have been more ecstatic! I knew right then that this was where we would photograph Andrea & Daniel's session. It only got better when they arrived; Andrea looking so elegant in her peach lace dress, and Daniel, handsome in his gray suit. What a classy couple! And in the most beautiful backdrop we could have ever hoped for.
Black Butte Ranch, Oregon Wedding - Tyler & Amy
The skies were blue and the sun shining as Tyler & Amy said their vows in front of a breathtaking backdrop of aspen trees. Amy is from California, Tyler from New York, they got engaged in Paris, and married in Oregon. So naturally, a theme of maps were a fun, little part of their wedding. The view from the ceremony and backyard-deck reception was breathtaking with Mt. Bachelor's snow-capped mountain in the distance. We stole the couple away for a bit to capture some romantic portraits of the two of them while guests took in the beautiful surroundings. At the reception, guests had fun making their own ice-cream sandwiches from a bounty of home-made cookies, roasting the couple during toasts, and partying it up on the dance floor. I would tell you all about how lively their dance party was and how much fun we had just watching it all play out, but I think the photos speak for themselves. :)
Thank you Tyler & Amy for letting us be a part of your wedding day! We're so thankful you let us come along for the ride.
