Little Ayla was just 10 days old when I photographed her and her beautiful family. Lynette & Omar are such a gorgeous couple, it’s no wonder little Ayla turned out so cute!! Grandma’s from both sides traveled long distances to see their first grandchild from Omar & Lynette, and to be a part of Ayla’s newborn session. It was refreshing to see extended family so close-knit, and happy just to be together. What a wonderful and sweet family you have. Congratulations on the new addition to your family! Little Ayla is so very lucky to have you all!
Portland Newborn Photography - Baby Maddalyn
This little angel was born last fall to two overjoyed, unexpecting parents. Unexpecting you ask? Yes! Little Maddalyn's parents had been wanting a child of their own for several years, but when they heard of the opportunity to adopt a little baby girl who's birth parents weren't ready for raising a baby just yet, they excitedly rushed at the chance to become her family. They only had a few months notice to prepare for her arrival, so planning went into hyper-speed as they got ready to welcome her into their home. Then they got the call. She was here! Two suddenly became a family three, and I couldn't be more happy for this sweet family.

Baby Ripley - Portland Oregon Newborn Photography
Let's face it. Cute little hats are just the best. Newborns are adorable just on their own...but add a chunky knit hat or a cute little bonnet and the cuteness levels start to go off the charts. I like to keep my little home studio in northeast Portland stocked with such items at all times. Little knit bonnets, tie-back headbands for girls, mini bowties for boys, a little golden crown or two...but when a mom brings in vintage map-themed props from her nursery and adorably authentic grandma-knit hats to her photography session, I can't help but get excited! Not to mention, mom and dad are like the epitome of a cute Portland couple! How beautiful is this family?!!! I hope you enjoy these images from their recent newborn session. Little Ripley and his family were so much fun to photograph. :)
Baby Iris - Portland Newborn Session
This little sweetheart was such a gem to photograph. She was zonked out the entire session, peacefully sleeping away as I posed her. She even brought her whole family along for the session! It was a bit packed trying to fit all her family members into my tiny little NE Portland newborn studio (after all, my client's average height is usually only 20 inches long!), but it was so worth it to end up with one beautiful family photo of her whole family together. Her big sister, Nora, was a big help too. She was so sweet and gentle with her new baby sister, kissing her delicately on the forehead when asked, and helping to hold my backdrop when it needed some straightening. What lovely little girls this family has! I am so happy for them and the new little bundle of joy that's now in their lives. Congratulations, Marc, Pamela, & Nora! She is just darling!
