Vineyard Engagement Session - Andrea & Daniel
These two were so much fun to work with. Andrea is a super talented event planner, and owner of Wandera Weddings. I have had the privilege of getting to photograph many of her super fun, gorgeously decorated events though the years. She always looks adorable, and every event she does looks amazing, so I knew photographing her engagement photos would be no different. Andrea and Daniel love wine, and are even members at Stoller Vineyards. So naturally, it was fitting to shoot their engagement photos at a vineyard, with some wine in hand. Andrea planned out an entire little picnic setup, complete with cheese boards and a charcuterie spread. Wine was sipped, kisses were shared, and a whole lot of love was captured. Love these two so much!
Cathedral Park & Urban Studio Wedding
Luke & Ai had a lovely, modern wedding, surrounded by family and friends at the Urban Studio in downtown Portland, Oregon. Luke & Ai love city life, and wanted to capture Portland's charm by photographing some portraits under the St. John's Bridge in Cathedral Park. The iconic turquoise bridge was the perfect blend of Portland’s beautiful urban architecture in the midst of lush, scenic landscape. Ai had a gorgeous bouquet and hairpiece made by Annie at Floral Sunshine, which matched the natural greenery around them during portraits. As the sun set, the lights dimmed in the Urban Studio and twinkle-lights all around the room glowed romantically for dinnertime ambiance. And what Portland night is complete without some doughnuts? In lieu of a cake, guests enjoyed an assortment of doughnuts from Portland’s famous VooDoo Doughnuts.
Hood River Maternity Session - Daniel & Natalie
Pets are a special part of the family. They steal our hearts, make us laugh, provide endless entertainment and love. After a while, you can’t even imagine life without them. So, it’s always so much fun when clients ask to bring along their furry friends to include in their photo shoot. Daniel & Natalie were just about to give birth to their first baby, but wanted to capture their little family of 3 before their baby girl arrived. We decided to photograph their maternity session in Hood River (at a place affectionately called “the Spit”), where Daniel & Natalie often take their dog, Monty, to run and play. Before the session, Natalie warned me that Monty was quite an energetic, handful. We captured lots of portraits of Daniel & Natalie along the water’s edge of the Columbia River Gorge as the sun romantically set behind them. All this, while Monty ran his hardest, back and forth and through the water, greeting passersby with jumps and licks before excitedly running off in the opposite direction. He had a blast, and we had a blast just watching him. In the end though, Monty was a good boy. He posed beautifully for several portraits, and Daniel and Natalie ended up with some super cute family photos together. 🐾
